Good Deeds :- Great Needs will be collecting unused gift cards from anyone willing to make a donation and give those collected gift cards to the Covenant House.

"Tyler Perry continues to be a real champion for our kids," said Kevin Ryan, president of the Covenant House, in a statement. "He is a star who believes in giving back, and because of that belief he is helping so many homeless kids find new hope and new futures."

Perry has been a long-time supporter of the organization, having previously provided a gift to help renovate the Covenant House Georgia crisis center and purchased a new outreach van to support street outreach efforts as well.

In addition to Perry's own partnership, Lionsgate, the leading independent filmed entertainment studio distributing Perry's new film, will also make a financial donation to Covenant House for every share of the "Good Deeds" trailer.

For the past year, Matt Weston has been frustrated by his inactive, backwater post in Cape Town. Close behind action flick "Safe House" was love story "The Vow"

Denzel Washington thriller "Safe House" rose to the No. 1 spot at movie box offices through Sunday, narrowly leading love story "The Vow" over a long holiday weekend in the United States.

"Safe House" took in $24.0 million at North American (U.S. and Canadian) theaters from Friday through Sunday, taking the top slot after a second-place finish when the film debuted a week earlier. The movie earned an average of $7,680 from 3,121 theaters, according to studio estimates compiled by Reuters.

Distributor Universal Pictures projected "Safe House" would gross $28.5 million domestically through Monday, the U.S. Presidents Day holiday. Also on Monday, the film's global sales to date were expected to cross $100 million.The movie stars Washington as a fugitive on the run with a rookie CIA operative played by Ryan Reynolds. Privately held Relativity Media helped finance the film.

Close behind "Safe House" was last weekend's winner, "The Vow," with $23.6 million domestically from Friday through Sunday, or an average of $7,978 at 2,958 locations. Ticket sales were projected to reach $27.4 million through Monday.

The movie stars Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum in the story of a man who must win back his wife's heart after she loses her memory in a car crash.Spyglass Entertainment co-financed the film, which has brought in an estimated $108.3 million around the world since its release.

The weekend's strongest new release was third-place "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance". It opened with $22.0 million domestically for three days and was poised to reach $25.5 million through Monday. The per-theater average was $6,931 on 3,174 screens.The 3D movie starring Nicolas Cage as the devil's bounty hunter is a follow-up to the original "Ghost Rider," which opened over Presidents Day weekend in 2007.

Sales tallies and rankings could change when studios release new estimates on Monday and final figures on Tuesday.In fourth place, family film "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson rung up $20.1 million through Sunday. New romantic comedy "This Means War" starring Reese Witherspoon took fifth place with an estimated $17.6 million.

Sales estimates through Monday were not immediately available for "Journey 2" and "This Means War."

The weekend's other new release, Disney animated film "The Secret World of Arrietty," brought in $6.4 million to land in ninth place. The movie about a family of tiny people who live under the floorboards of a country home was expected to reach $8.0 million through Monday.

"Arrietty" played on fewer screens than the top films, earning an average of $4,189 at 1,522 locations.

The movie was originally released as a Japanese film by Studio Ghibli in 2010 and was re-recorded in English.

"Safe House" was released by Universal Pictures, a division of Comcast Corp. The movie studio of Sony Corp released "Ghost Rider" and "The Vow." Time Warner Inc unit Warner Bros. distributed "Journey 2." News Corp's 20th Century Fox released "This Means War." Walt Disney Co distributed "The Secret World of Arrietty."

The book tells the story of  Kim and Krickitt, who met and fell in love over a long distance phone call in 1992, bonded over their Christian faith, and were married a very short time later. No matter what you can say about Nicolas Cage, he manages to entertain you in some way whether he’s in a good or bad movie. Even when you watch him in an awful film like The Wicker Man, his over-the-top acting entertains the hell out of you. The first Ghost Rider movie didn’t really showcase that exquisite talent of Cage’s, but it’s sequel Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance certainly showcases it! Directed by the frenetic style of the cult favorite Neveldine/Taylor duo, does this sequel fire on all cylinders, or should it have been extinguished before production went underway?

After the events of the first film, Johnny Blaze (Nicolas Cage) is hiding out in Eastern Europe. However, he’s brought out of hiding from an old friend named Moreau (Idris Elba), who offers him a job to save this boy (Fergus Riordan) from the Devil that’s trying to use him as an earth form. Blaze soon accepts the mission, and he teams up with Morceau and the boy’s mother (Violante Placido) to follow through. Unfortunately, they’re being pursued by Ray Carrigan (Johnny Whitworth), a mercenary ordered by the Devil to bring the boy to the proper venue of the ritual. And if that’s not enough going on, Blaze finds out that there’s a chance he can rid himself of his curse if he completes the mission. You know, a comic book movie like this shouldn’t have that much going on. Instead that amount of subplots belong in a hyperlink cinema movie.

Even though his career is a 50/50 split on the movies he has starred in, I still stick up for Nicolas Cage because of how he manages to be highly entertaining in just about every movie he stars in. In this film, his crazy over-the-top acting returns in solid form. His dialogue is riddled of unintentionally funny lines, but the way he delivers them wholeheartedly hearkens back to why I love Cage’s acting so much. One scene that highlights this aspect is where he’s trying to hide his transformation into the Ghost Rider, and he also breaks into maniacal Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans- esque laughter. Besides Cage though, there’s nobody else that even comes close to his acting. Idris Elba’s performance is extremely limited, as he’s really treated more as an extended cameo rather than a true supporting role. On the other hand, Violante Placido and Fergus Riordan are awful in their performances as the mother-son duo. They both have no emotional range in their line delivery as they remain one-note throughout, and they have no chemistry whatsoever when they’re on screen together. Johnny Whitworth is as over-the-top as Nicolas Cage is as the villain Blackout, but almost every one of his lines is a stupid pun that had me laughing for all the wrong reasons.
